Quigley Training Services
QTS has helped countless organisations and individuals to
obtain the necessary training and qualifications required
to become a safe and efficient employee in many disciplines
in the area of Lifting Operations. With the introduction of
the Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations '98'
and also the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations
'98', the Quigley Team realised there was a real need for
training in the UK. Until then there had been very little
focus on how lifting operations should be planned and carried
out. Even though BS7121 safe use of cranes had been around
since 1989 few organisations had the skills required to plan
a lift under these guidelines. From in house staff resources
experienced lifting operations staff embarked on training
programmes at the Construction Industry Training Board facilities
to obtain instructor status in many training programmes. Coupled
with our excellent training facilities QTS has been able to
provide a first class training service that is accredited
by the CITB and also by the City & Guilds to provide NVQ
assessment.

QTS training courses are made interesting, enjoyable and
above all else informative. Industry professionals with vast
experience of cranes and lifting operations deliver the courses.
Trainees will see videos of real lifting operations showing
how it really should be done and indeed how it really should
not be done. They will experience hands on activities in a
fully controlled and supervised environment. QTS is an official
NVQ assessment centre, so for individuals who want to prove
that they have the ability to carry out the tasks they have
been trained for QTS can guide them through the process. Achieving
an NVQ instills confidence into the employee, the employer
and the customers they work for.
